On Kboards there is a thread called 24 Months to Success. With the author’s goal of selling 10,000 books in one year. They missed their goal the first year and are on track for hitting it the second year. This got me thinking about my plans for success.

Ideally, I would like to sell over 20,000 copies of my fantasy books in a year. At $5.99 each that would be roughly $84,000 in revenue minus advertising and production expenses. I currently have 11 books planned for release over the next few years.

Currently, Pure Hearted will be released in the next month or so. After that, I’m hoping to get the first two books of my witch series out by the end of the year. Followed by the finally in early 2020. Next, I have an unannounced 7+ book series planned. I’d like to get the first 3 out in 2020 and the last 4 in 2021.

Since this year is half over I’d like to start the 12-month countdown after I release the first book. With goals of 20,000 sales in 2020, and 30,000 sales in 2021. By the end of 2020, I’ll have 7 books out. By the end of 2021, I’ll have 11 books released. Which means to hit 20,000 in 2020 I’ll need to sell on average 3,000 copies of each. As well as 2,800 copies of each book in 2021 to hit my 30,000 goal.

I feel those goals are very realistic. I will keep you all posted on my progress throughout the next two and a half years.
